Tires (tubular) for vintage bikes
Pirelli, Clement, Canetti, Liontyres, Vittoria, D'Alessandro, Hutchinson
The quality is largely determined by the number of threads per inch (TPI).
The higher the TPI, the better the rolling resistance and the smoother the tire.
And the less quickly you puncture!
Prices for a Pirelli superleggero and a Clement Criterium were around 1100bf (28 €) in the mid 1970s.
